L'Oréal Paris Color Riche Pure Reds

Hey guys!

I hope you all are doing well. I am back with a brand new post for you guys. I love red lipsticks even though red is not my favorite color. I have 7 red lipsticks and all of them are of different shades. The one I like most is Cinnamon spice by Wet ‘n’ Wild. I’m not really a fan of blue-toned reds but I do have a few of those as well. Well, I got extremely excited when I heard about L’Oréal pure reds star collection. I wasted no time and visited Naheed to grab one for myself, but unfortunately the only thing that ticked me off was the price. L’Oréal’s newly launched star collection is pretty expensive, one lipstick is of PKR 1800. A few days later, I visited Scentsation, because I had to purchase a new foundation. And guess what?! I saw these lipsticks there and then I couldn’t stop myself from adding one into my shopping basket. There are 5 shades available in Pakistan; Freida, Jlo, Eva, Liya and Blake. There’s a shade of red for each and every girl/woman out there, so you can easily pick one for yourself. After testing and trying all of the shades, I finally came to the conclusion that I should go for Eva. Also, I’ve read this amazing fact on multiple blogs that L’Oréal has launched different shades in different countries, so I’d love to try the ones they have in France.
Packaging:
The lipstick tube is made up of black textured plastic with a bit of golden here and there. The only thing that caught my eye is the signature of L’Oréal’s brand ambassador. Yes, I now have Eva’s autograph on my lipstick. How cool is that? I simply loved the packaging. It looks classy and decent to me. Also, they gave me a small case which is made up of leather (I guess) along with the lipstick. It seems like L’Oréal has invested a huge chunk of change on the packaging.
Shade description:
I am a big fan of true red lippies, but Eva’s red has a touch of orange under tones. You might like it if you fancy wearing different reds. I truly believe that red shade is for everyone, so you need to swatch all the shades in order to find yours. I’ve tried all types of reds and this shade is what I was looking for since ages. All in all, I’m in love with Eva’s red.
Texture/Pigmentation:
I’m being extremely honest at the moment, these lipsticks are matte and will dry out your lips after a couple of hours. Also, I must say that all of these lipsticks are highly pigmented which is definitely a plus point. One swipe is more than enough so don’t waste your product by applying 2 – 3 layers.
Lasting power:
It stays for approximately 4 – 5 hours which is definitely nice.
Final verdict:
I’d recommend you all to give it a go. I know it’s pretty expensive, and I am well aware of the fact that it shouldn’t be, since L’Oréal is a drug store brand. All in all, I am a big fan of L’Oréal pure reds star collection, and will be trying a couple of more shades as well.

BEAUTY BLOGGERS AT THE LAUNCH OF PAKISTAN'S FIRST HALAL MAKEUP LINE BY MASARRAT MISBAH

Hey guys!

I want you guys to keep reading as this post is going to be a bit longer than the ones I post normally. It's really hard to begin when you have tons of things to share. Well, all of this started when I received an email from Walnut Communications stating that Masarrat Misbah was going to hold a launch party of her makeup line at Depilex salon, and I was one of those lucky bloggers who were invited to be a part of it. Trust me folks, I don't have enough words to state how happy I was.
I immediately responded to them as they asked me to reply back with a confirmation message. I got extremely excited since I knew that I would be able to meet all of my lovely fellow bloggers. The days passed, and finally the most awaited day of my life arrived. I got dressed up in black jeans and shirt along with a pearl necklace, and last but not the least, black heels to complete my look. I was extremely nervous when I stepped out of my home, but my nervousness faded away as the host team and my fellow bloggers received me with open arms. I met Samra Muslim, Anam Zaman, Maliha Rao, Shumaila, Jadirah Sarmad and many others. Anam became my bud in a very short period of time since both of us were first timers, and we chatted a lot.
Just to let you all know, my mum is a big fan of Masarrat Misbah, since she is a well-known beauty guru of Pakistan and also the owner of Depilex group of companies. Masarrat Misbah, the lady herself, hugged me when I went to meet her. It seemed like a massive family reunion to me since all of the people present there, were extremely nice and friendly. Also, the food was great. I was busy in covering the event so I couldn't eat a lot even though I wanted to. I had 2 tiny cupcakes and a cake pop… that's it.
The host team gave a brief presentation on Masarrat Misbah's newly launched makeup line. MM makeup is made up of 100% halal ingredients, and this is why it is halal certified. The faces behind MM makeup make sure that their products aren't tested on animals, and that’s really nice as we should all say no to animal testing. I truly believe that there’s no point of killing the innocent ones for the sake of beauty. The best part is that we now have our very own halal makeup brand in Pakistan. The prices are pocket-friendly. I tried everything present at the makeup counter, and all of the lipsticks, glosses, blushes, foundations, mascaras, and eyeliners are of really good quality. Masarrat Misbah has kept the women of Asia in her mind while creating all of those unique formulas for her own makeup line. Her main goal is push the women living in Pakistan towards the world of beauty. We don’t really need international brands when our very own makeup artists are coming up with such amazing brands.
Oh, and we even had our faces done at Depilex. One of the kind makeup artists present at the launch party applied MM makeup’s lip gloss in shade Dahlia on my lips, and I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. I was about to purchase it, but then I got to know the fact that it had already been included in my goodie bag. Coming to the fun part, we all got a very nice goodie bag which was filled with lots of amazing products. Yes people, I said lots. The products that I got in my goodie bag are: liquid lipstick in Phenomenal Red, lip gloss in Dahlia, lip varnish in Uptown Girl, silk foundation in Porcelain, and last but not the least, ethereal glow blusher in Radiant Pink.
All in all, I had so much fun at the launch party and it was one memorable day. I want you all to try MM makeup as it’s our first and foremost responsibility to promote our very own Pakistani brands. Each and every product is worth a try as the quality is incredible. Also, keep an eye out for my upcoming blog posts as I’ll be reviewing all of the products that I got in my goodie bag really soon. The entire range of MM makeup is available at Depilex salon, Bahadurabad. You can also purchase your favorite products from www.masarratmakeup.com.

Thank you so much for reading, and stay tuned for more updates. Oh, and I apologize for the bad picture quality, I've taken these pictures via my phone.

Until next time, babes.
